Magna are a leading specialist confectioner of Hollow and Shell-moulding chocolate products, based in Telford and have a firm belief that everything we do is carried out by a team. We are looking for an HR Assistant/Administrator to join our HR team on a fixed term basis 2yrs. £12 per hour, weekly pay.

 

As a HR Assistant, your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Process new starters and leavers in accordance with relevant Company Policies.
  • Scanning fingerprints enabling the new employee to enter the building and clock in on day one of start.
  • Liaising with candidates for interview and resolving any issues when self-booking appointments, update the Google Calendar with appointment times.
  • First point of contact for all general HR telephone and face to face queries.
  • Daily exceptions.
  • Check recalled employees records to gain re-employment.
  • Chase and obtain HR Documentation and Scan into HR System.
  • Meet and greet new starts on late night working.
  • Liaise with the Resource Planner any Did not starts and clock in new starter on day one.
  • Always comply with confidentiality and data protection policy and legislation.

 

Suitable candidates will need to demonstrate that they have the following key skills and traits, which will enable them to be effective in the role of HR Assistant/Administrator:

Good standard of general education including English and Maths. Ideally experience of working in a HR environment. Good IT skills and data inputting. Able to deal with sensitive/confidential issues. Able to work as part of a team as well as independently. Highly organised and able to prioritise own workload. Flexibility (some out of hour’s work may be required). Sense of professionalism and ability to develop and maintain relationships with employees. The ability to get to grips with a variety of systems, databases, time and attendance and HR systems.

 

Previous experience in a similar role or in a food-based manufacturing environment would be an advantage.

This role is Fixed Term position for 2 years. The hours of work are

Monday 7.00am to 8.00pm,

Tuesday 10.00am to 5.00pm,

Wednesday 10.00am to 8pm,

Thursday 7.00am to 4.30pm

Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm.

45 hours per week
